    Greg Smith has had many years of experience practising in the criminal courts at all levels, as well as considerable experience in making laws.

    As a member of Parliament he worked on reform to the law, including those concerning bail; sentencing; evidence; journalist privilege; organised crime; the NCAT; victims of crime; increased media access to the courts; rehabilitation of prisoners dependant on drugs and alcohol.

    He has returned to the bar in order to practice in the criminal law, as well as appearing in environmental prosecutions, commissions of inquiry, disciplinary tribunals and inquests.
