Roisin McCarthy

Admitted as a barrister in 2025
Admitted as a legal practitioner in 2016

Roisin accepts briefs to advise and appear in criminal matters in the District Court, Local Court and Children’s Court of New South Wales.  She is also available to appear in inquests and inquiries.
 
Prior to being called to the bar, Roisin worked as a Trial Advocate for the Aboriginal Legal Service.  She has previously worked for the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency, Legal Aid NSW and as Tipstaff to the Hon. Justice RA Hulme.

Roisin has experience appearing in jury and judge alone trials, short matters and appeals in courts across Western NSW and the Northern Territory.
