Angela Cook SC

Admitted as a barrister in 2008

Angela Cook SC is a well respected advocate with over two decades of specialised experience in criminal law. 

Regularly briefed in complex trials and appellate matters, Angela represents individuals accused of serious charges including (but not limited to) drug manufacture and importation, sexual offences, fraud, and offences involving violence.
 
Her experience also extends to white collar crime, having acted on behalf of corporations and executives in a range of regulatory and financial matters.
 
Known for her meticulous preparation and strategic approach, Angela is particularly adept at managing complex evidentiary issues, conducting precise and effective cross-examination, and delivering persuasive arguments before both judges and juries.
 
Angela has appeared in numerous appeal cases before the Court of Criminal Appeal (CCA), some of which have significantly impacted on the interpretation and development of the law.
 
Her skill as an advocate is consistently recognised by both solicitors and peers. She is regularly listed in Doyle’s Guide legal directory under the “Preeminent” or “Leading” categories for criminal barristers in both New South Wales and at a national level.
