Admitted as a practitioner in NSW in 1991.
Admitted in the NT in 1995.
NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Criminal Law in 1997.
Admitted as a NSW barrister in 1998.

Scott has practiced exclusively in criminal law as a solicitor then barrister, since the early 1990’s. Scott has appeared in trials and appeals, including murder and manslaughter, in the Supreme and Districts Courts of NSW, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Scott initially worked as a solicitor in Sydney, then from 1993 to 1995 with the WALS in the west of NSW; 1995 & 1996 with the NAALAS in Darwin; 1997 & 1998, with Southern & Western Regional Aboriginal Corp. for Justice in the west of Sydney and as principal solicitor; then to the bar in Sydney.
