Dean Jordan worked as a musician before commencing practice as a solicitor at Allen, Allen & Hemsley.  

Over the course of his practice as a barrister, Dean Jordan has practiced in general criminal law.  
 
In addition to general criminal law, he has particular experience in commercial crime, competition cartel cases, fraud and tax cases and other regulatory crime, including work, health and safety offences and environmental offences.
 
He also has broad experience in judicial review, administrative law and extradition.
 
He appears in a wide range of jurisdictions, including the High Court, the Court of Criminal Appeal, the Federal Court, the Supreme Court, the Land and Environment Court, the District Court and the Local Court.
 
He also regularly appears in commissions of inquiry, including royal commissions, ICAC and coronial inquests and inquiries.
